many use the term ‘fleeting thoughts’ and shower thoughts interchangeably. although it isn’t entirely wrong, i don’t quite agree as i feel there’s a slight difference, or at least in the way i view them.
fleeting thoughts are brief, passing ideas or reflections that occur spontaneously and often disappear quickly if not captured. these are thoughts that can arise at any time and are usually triggered by external stimuli , like something you see, hear, or read. these thoughts might be insightful, random, or mundane but are often gone in an instant if you don’t note them down.
shower thoughts, on the other hand, are a type of fleeting thought that occurs specifically in moments of relaxation or mindlessness—like in the shower.these thoughts often feel profound or creative because your mind is free from distractions and allowed to wander. they might include sudden insights, quirky observations, or solutions to problems you’ve been subconsciously mulling over.
in essence, shower thoughts are fleeting thoughts that arise in those tranquil, disconnected moments where creativity tends to flow naturally.
a personal space, built in public for sharing reflections, creative projects, and growth.
